Thai Lee, born in Thailand to Korean parents, grew up in several countries including Thailand, Germany, Korea and US. In 1980, Thai graduated from Amherst College, majoring in Biology and Economics. In 1983, Thai became the first Korean-American woman to enter Harvard Business School, and received her MBA degree in 1985 from Harvard. In 1989, Thai bought a small, unprofitable computer reseller named Software House in NJ. Over the past 30 years, SHI has grown dramatically. SHI has transformed from a $1 million reseller into a $10 billion+ global provider of information technology products and services. Importantly, SHI grew profitably (month over month) and organically, without mergers or acquisitions. According to Business Week, SHI is one of the top 10 privately held companies in the Information Technology field in the USA today.
