Kopri Promotions was founded in May 1997 by Ms. Samata Shah, a graphic artist who has excelled in her field having worked for several companies prior to starting her own business. Samata holds a degree in Textile Design, so she has an eye for creativity. After having her second child, Samata stopped working to stay home and take care of her children. Being the self-made go-getter that she is, Samata could not retire this way. She and her husband bought a sign making system and a computer, and Kopri Promotions was then born.
Samata was president of the Indian Cultural Association and served on its board for seven years. She was also part of the publication committee at her temple and taught about the Hindu religion and culture for 12 years. Samata has served on the committee for the Birmingham International Center for 5 years and was awarded a “Motivating Woman of the Year” award in 2012 by BIC. These accreditations have been great learning experiences and have greatly contributed to the success of Kopri Promotions.
Last year Kopri Promotions won the Supplier of the year by WBECSOUTH.
