Carol Hackbarth began her privately held, certified woman-owned company in 1975 with her husband, Rob. They started with a single van, $500 startup capital and a belief in each other. Today, her company boasts 26 terminal warehouses across 10 states and delivers more than 38,000 packages a day. She plays an active role in leading and directing her company and enjoys working with her family. Carol believes in giving back to her community and has been active throughout the years with many various charities and business development organizations. In the past she has coached both of her daughters sports teams, served on the Board of Directors for the Mobile Chamber of Commerce, and has mentored at-risk youth in business development. Her love for community is best shown through her 25-year relationship with L’Arche, a residential home where handicapped and non-handicapped live and work together.
