President
Carolyn has been with TempStaff since its inception and has seen the evolution of the staffing industry over the years. As the Owner and President, Carolyn is the heartbeat of TempStaff. She is actively involved in the daily operations of the company, leading TempStaff to be the preeminent staffing company in Mississippi.
Carolyn has a passion for giving back to our community. She is actively involved on the boards for the Girl Scouts of Greater Mississippi, St. Dominic Hospital and RankinFirst. Carolyn has been recognized as one of the 50 Leading Business Women in Mississippi and Top 50 CEO’s in Mississippi along with numerous other honors. When not working or volunteering, you may find her playing with her grandkids or at the beach.
Carolyn has received her certification as a Certified Staffing Professional by the American Staffing Association.
Jamie Boteler Higdon
Vice President
For Jamie, staffing is in her genes. As a second generation staffing professional, she grew up in the industry. Her first jobs included watering plants and filing. She went on to work as a summer receptionist and an accounting intern while enrolled in college. She is a graduate of Mississippi College with both her bachelor’s and masters degrees in Business Administration. Now the Vice President of Operations, Jamie oversees the financial and strategic planning aspects of TempStaff.
Jamie enjoys working in the community through various organizations. She is a member of the boards of directors for the Rankin Chamber and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mississippi. A graduate of Leadership Mississippi, Jamie has been recognized as a Top 10 Finalist for both the 50 Leading Business Women in Mississippi and Top 50 Under 40 by the Mississippi Business Journal. She and her husband Scott are the proud parents of two daughters. Jamie loves to travel and attend concerts. In the fall, you will find her cheering on the MSU Bulldogs.

Business Development Manager
If you’ve ever seen one of the TempStaff VW Bugs cruising around the Jackson area, Penny was most likely at the wheel. Since 2001, Penny has served as our business development manager. Her passion for meeting new people and developing staffing solutions for companies has been a key piece to TempStaff’s success. She is a member of the Madison Ridgeland Rotary Club and serves on the Greater Jackson Chamber of Commerce Chairman’s Council. Penny also serves on the boards for Crime Stoppers and Executive Women International.
Penny has been recognized as one of the 50 Leading Business Women in Mississippi and is a 2014 graduate of Leadership Mississippi. She loves to travel and was a flight attendant prior to joining TempStaff. In her free time, she enjoys Pilates and cycling, and spending time with her grandson, Bennett.
Penny has received her certification as a Certified Staffing Professional from the American Staffing Association.
