Melinda O. Johnson
An attorney living and practicing law in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, Mendy Johnson is the founder of Melinda O. Johnson, PLLC. She has lived on the Mississippi Gulf Coast for over forty years. After graduating from Pascagoula High School, Mendy earned a Bachelor of Public Administration Degree at the University of Mississippi and then earned her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law. Mendy interned with the United States Attorney’s Office in the Northern District of Mississippi during her last semester of law school. During this internship, she was fortunate to have the opportunity to assist in several bench trials and it was this experience that led Mendy to develop a talent for enthusiastic representation of her clients and a love of litigation.
Mendy has practiced law in Jackson County, and Harrison County, Mississippi for the last twenty-five years. She represents clients from the communities of Ocean Springs, Biloxi, Pascagoula, D’Iberville, Gulfport, Long Beach, Pass Christian, Waveland and Bay St. Louis. She has effectively represented hundreds of corporations and individuals in litigation pertaining to car wreck, uninsured or underinsured motorists coverage, boating accidents, medical malpractice, legal malpractice, employment disputes, slip and fall accidents, insurance law, insurance coverage disputes, insurance bad faith, property damage and theft claims. Mendy has successfully argued legal matters and tried cases before juries in every courthouse along the Mississippi Gulf Coast and has an excellent appellate record.
Mendy has been a featured speaker at conferences including continuing legal education for fellow attorneys, and for claims offices of large insurance companies.
Mendy is admitted to practice in the State and Federal Courts throughout Mississippi. She is a member in good standing with the Mississippi State Bar Association.
