Larisa Featherstone

CEO

615-373-0500
[email protected]

Larisa serves as Johnston & Associates’ CEO. She joined the team in June of 1997, initially performing claim audits for clients. She found so many inefficiencies in claims handling that it inspired Johnston & Associates’ current proactive claims model. This model led to lower claim cost and faster closure of claims. Her time doing extensive safety consulting with her clients as well as managing the claims department prepared her to take over as company CEO in 2008. Larisa is also an advocate for childhood cancer research. She currently serves on the board of Monroe Carell, Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. Larisa earned her BBA degree from Emory University in 1997, and is happily married with three daughters.

Ron Johnston
Founder & President

After 16 years with UPS, Ron’s desire to help companies improve their safety culture and lower workers’ compensation costs inspired him to found Johnston & Associates in 1990. As a result of his experience with working with many different industries, Ron developed The M.O.S.T.® System, a behavioral based system that helps employees and supervisors make safety a part of their every day life at work and at home.

Ron also created the S.O.S.® System, a defensive driving system that is used nationally by trucking, manufacturing, distribution, and home health care companies to train their employees on the importance of safe driving habits. Clients even comment on how they use the S.O.S.® System at home with their teenagers! Ron also holds a Masters Degree from Emory University, and he taught business courses at Vanderbilt’s Owen School of Management. He now serves as President of Johnston & Associates. He believes in collaborative management, and that the best ideas come from the Johnston & Associates team, and their clients. By listening and working together as partners, his goal is to solve problems and build systems that prevent accidents and injuries from happening. Ron and his wife Carol are the proud parents of Larisa and Joey and enjoy spending time with their four grandchildren.
