Jennifer M. Lawrence grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana and graduated in the top 10% of her law school class from Tulane University Law School in 1995. While in law school, Jennifer developed a passion for oral advocacy, both trial and appellate. She argued on to the Moot Court Board, won the regional round of the Saul Leftkowitz Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition as an oralist, and argued in the national round of the competition before the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. Jennifer tried her first case as a student attorney in the Tulane Civil Law Clinic. After deposing prison guards, defending her client"s deposition, and participating in a full bench trial, Jennifer obtained a judgment invalidating a Louisiana Department of Corrections rule which forbade threatening legal redress in a confrontation situation.

Following law school, Jennifer joined a small commercial litigation defense firm where she worked on a wide variety of cases, including class actions, and litigated in federal and state trial and appellate courts all over Louisiana. After six years of practice, Jennifer became a member in her firm, and her practice was concentrated on representing insurance companies, employers and employee welfare benefits plans in life, health and disability insurance litigation. Nine years later, Jennifer joined another small firm where she continued her life, health and disability insurance litigation practice. Seven years later, Jennifer was ready for another change. In September of 2017, Jennifer started her own firm in which she will continue providing creative, efficient, cost-effective representation for her valued clients. Advanced technology will streamline the administration of the practice so that Jennifer, in partnership with her clients, can focus on legal work.
