Lana is a 2002 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi where she obtained a B.S. Degree in Education and Psychology. She currently serves as a board member for the Main Street Leakesville Organization which is committed to the betterment of her home town. MSLO purpose is to stimulate the economic development through organization, promotion, design, and economic vitality. She is also a founding member of Delta Indemnity Group, an Insurance Company that is wholly owned and controlled by its members with the primary purpose being to minimize and insure the risks of its owners. Lana is a co-founder and co-owner of Universal Services which began as a small residential electrical and HVAC service company primarily serving the needs of the local community. The home based business began in 2004, with its’ first annual sales of just over $35,000. Sharing a vision to take the small business to a new level of service and quality, owners Ryan and Lana Dobbins, began soliciting industrial, commercial, and marine markets. Currently, the business operates in multiple states and has grown to a over 150 employees and annual sales of $20+million. Founded on the principles of innovative thinking, integrity, and diversity the company continues to grow at a progressive rate. Lana serves as the Administrative Director for Universal Services and is tasked with coordinating daily operational functions, streamlining management systems, monitoring budgets, supervising managers, improving business efficiency, requesting audits, ensuring customer satisfaction, and analyzing financial data. To date Lana and Ryan have 3 children and being a Mother is unapologetically her favorite and most important position.
Ryan is the co-founder and co-owner of Universal Services. He is a 2002 graduate of the University of South Alabama with a Mechanical Engineering Degree. Ryan serves as the General Manager for Universal Services. He has a vast understanding of what is often very complex and dynamic builds. Ryan's duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to formulating policies, managing daily field operations, budgeting and planning the best use of materials and human resources to complete every project on time, within budget, and exceeding customer expectations. Ryan is one of the primary visionaries and a consistent driving force that is responsible for the company's rapid and steady growth. When Ryan is not working he enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
Janie is the Office Manager for Universal Services LLC. Janie graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. Janie has been with the company for over 12 years. She has extensive administrative experience in Office Management, Human Resources, and Accounting. She assists in the development and implementation of firm policies and procedures; manages and oversees the administration policies, programs and practices within the firm; she enforces safety compliance and document control procedures, receivables and monthly billing. Janie has been a resident of Leakesville since she moved from Sumrall, MS in 2007. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, reading, and enjoying the outdoors.
