Marnie Miller Battistini
Marnie Miller Battistini, Chief Executive Officer for Miller Tanner Associates (MTA), founded MTA on May 1, 1997. Her day-to-day focus is achieving our company goals while serving as the face of the company, but Marnie’s top priority as the steward of MTA is taking care of the company, its teams and its customers.
A creative problem solver and MTA’s leader for more than 20 years, Marnie has delivered unforgettable client experiences for companies large and small in the pharma, biotech, medical device, food, and public storage industries. She’s visited 79 countries as CEO of MTA and has her sights set on growth in Vietnam, Taiwan, and Cambodia as those markets emerge. And while MTA was built on delivering exceptional events, Marnie believes MTA’s greatest appeal to clients are the results MTA can deliver beyond an event, which include real-time access to global event data.
“The data from events holds great value for our clients,” she says. “Organizations today expect data to feed their systems and help them build out artificial intelligence initiatives. MTA is unique because we’re innovating mechanisms to give our clients back that data – and control of that data – so they can use it to further their own story.”
While Marnie is charged with the direction of the company and oversees all MTA operations, her greatest responsibilities are supporting MTA team members and building an exceptional culture.
“The MTA team is our No. 1 asset, and I work hard to take care of the team and create an environment where everyone can invest their unique talents while working virtually,” Marnie says. “I most enjoy watching the MTA team grow in our service offerings, depth of talent and regional reach, and celebrating our milestones is really special for me. Providing such strong foundational support frees up and empowers our team members to continuously deliver world-class experiences for our clients.”
Born in Kittery, Maine, Marnie earned a Bachelor of Science in political science and a paralegal certificate from James Madison University. She is a member of the Diversity Alliance for Science, IATA, Meeting Planner International, and the Drug Information Association. She earned the 2018 Smart Women in Meetings Innovator Award and was a finalist for the Diversity Alliance for Science 8 That Innovate in 2019. Marnie currently lives in Santa Clarita, California.
Marnie’s core strengths lie in strategic thinking, executing and relationship building. An achiever, arranger, and developer, she thrives in collecting input and gaining clarity through intellection. Marnie is an empathetic team player who puts people above projects and excels as a supportive, dependable and compassionate leader for MTA.
